Website Overview

Tennessee’s Non-Transactional and Transactional Web sites can be accessed on the Tennessee Advantage Home Page.

Non-Transactional Area

A User ID and password are not required to access non-transactional information provided via the Internet. General common data is accessible within this area of the Website.

Transactional Area

A User ID and password are required to access this area. This is where business functions are conducted. This is also referred to as the Customer Activities Website.

TIP: Add this Website address to your favorite links or setup as a shortcut on your desktop.


Informational Postings

Navigation

To access Informational Postings:

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Type in the URL www.tennesseeadvantage.com and press Enter to display the Tennessee Advantage page.
  3. Hover over the Informational Postings option in the navigational site menu to display a menu of available pipelines.
  4. Click on the appropriate pipeline and a menu of items appears. The Informational Postings page is displayed.
  5. Click on the appropriate option to access the required information.

Informational Lookups

The PASSKEY–Informational Look-Ups area of the Website can be accessed as follows:

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Type in the URL www.tennesseeadvantage.com and press Enter to display the Tennessee Advantage homepage.
  3. Hover over the PASSKEY logo in the top left corner with your cursor. (Several menu options are displayed.)
  4. Click on the PASSKEY Informational Lookups option to display the Informational Look-Ups page.
  5. Choose the option you wish to access.
    NOTE: If you are using NETSCAPE as your browser, you will be systematically prompted through the download steps for a Java Plug-in, which will allow you to access these options.
  6. If you have any problems, call the PASSKEY Help Desk at 713-420-4600 or 1-800-327-8328.

PASSKEY Website

The transactional area of the Website is referred to as the Customer Activities Website (PASSKEY). Business functions are performed in this area of the website. A Login ID and password is required to access this area. PASSKEY 1.0 Login Ids and Passwords will be valid for PASSKEY.

PASSKEY LOGIN

To access PASSKEY follow the instructions below:

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Type in the URL www.tennesseeadvantage.com address and press Enter. (The Tennessee Advantage homepage will be displayed.)
  3. Hover over the PASSKEY logo in the top left corner and a menu of options appears.
  4. Click the PASSKEY option. (A System License Agreement warning page is displayed.)
  5. Click the Login button to agree to the terms of Tennessee’s System License Agreement.
  6. The PASSKEY Login screen appears. Enter your PASSKEY User ID and password; then click OK.
  7. If you are using Internet Explorer (IE), the PASSKEY system will download to your PC. The download time will be 5-45 minutes long, depending on the speed of the connection (T1, ISDN, DSL, or modem at 56K).
    NOTE: If you are using NETSCAPE, you will be systematically prompted through the download steps for the necessary Java Plug-in files (during the initial access) prior to downloading PASSKEY.
  8. Following the download process, the PASSKEY directory will be displayed
  9. To exit the application, click the X in the upper right corner on the directory page.
  10. If you have any problems, call the PASSKEY Help Desk at 713-420-4600 or 1-800-327-8328.

Processing Functions and Buttons

New Opens a new line item for data entry in the Matrix
Copy Copies existing data onto a screen or window
Delete Deletes the current line item from the Matrix, the screen, or the window prior to Submitting
Cancel Cancels the process causing the loss of all updates since the last Submit
Print Prints application data
Submit Sends record(s) from the Matrix to TSP for processing
Sort Sorts displayed records based on specified criteria
Retrieve Retrieves information from the TSP based on specified criteria
Undo Removes all of the changes (edits) the user has entered on the highlighted line. The line must have a "pencil" in the left column for undo to work.
Clear Clears fields on the Form
Filter Filters displayed records based on specified criteria
Validate Validates entries (does not save to table). No status change.
Sum Recalculates totals on a screen
Move First Goes back to first line
Move Previous Goes back one line
Move Next Moves to next line
Move Last Moves to last line
Save Saves and records changes

NOTE: Functions are available by clicking the respective button or by using the Processing Functions drop-down menu.
